Keshav Shree London doctor and filmmaker

KESHAV SHREE:- FILMMAKER AND QUALIFIED LONDON
DOCTOR EDUCATED IN LONDON ITSELF.
Aside from doing a degree in Medicine in London, Keshav has also done a one year film course and now he is a mover and a shaker in the fringe genre of making shorts (short films) for competitions! His appealing countenance is evident as he has acted in some of his films. Film is a passion and a hobby.
Read on……
Of his latest two shorts Keshav told me “They’re both realistic comedies and I like making films on things that affect me as a first generation immigrant.” He has been in England since he was twelve, ‘Where are you really from?’ (2024) -currently in festivals. Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts and Tasveer, BAFTA-qualifying BUFF and Best Short at Socially relevant New York Film Festivals.
An ambitious first-generation Indian Managing  Director at a major London bank loses his British accent in a stroke. Comedy ensues threatening his identity and career and he must either re-learn his accent or risk losing it all.
‘Dinner for Loners’ (2025) – just submitted to festivals. Features Kulvinder Ghir (Goodness Gracious Me) . Scared about his friends moving on without him, a newly single man recruits his dysfunctional Indian family to throw a reunion dinner in a desperate attempt to reconnect.
Raising finance once you have your script and project is all connected to achieving making a film. Keshav is connected to twenty five short films so far.
A five minute short might amount to quite hefty sums to finance it, but as, for example, Raindance film school will teach you films can be made on a no budget or low budget basis!
I suggested to Keshav he might like to make a couple of documentaries – one on why Doctors are striking and another idea is covering mixed marriages featuring people who are in them and with children. These ideas are part of my own belief in the education of the public as a courtesy and showing respect to those involved who might take part in such films! Keshav has not been involved in striking as a doctor.
