Lauren is a graduate of the annual Muse Residency programme. She is also a PHD Researcher at Central St Martins and is continuing her interest in speculative technologies and potential environmental consequences of asteroid mining.
Lauren employs artistic practices to represent distant space entities and excavation processes. Futurescape is directly representative of a NASA sample retrieval mission to the asteroid Bennu and the MISSE – Materials International Space Station Experiment. The presentation of her works includes three dimensional artworks as well as beautifully executed framed artworks.
The artist is recipient of the 22/23 Zsuz si Roboz Scholarship, the Broomhill National Sculpture Price and winner of the Graduate Art Prize. She has exhibited in solo shows at the Bankside Artist Space and Winchester Gallery. Her group exhibitions include Youth, touring Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang China and IPBSZERO – a collaboration with CASS Faculty of Art and the Whitechapel Gallery.
There is much to see, learn and digest at this amazing show. You can collect printed matter on the artist when you visit. ENJOY
