Scoop The new Netflix film about Prince Andrew and his association with Jeffrey Epstein and alleged courtesans who served him. I hour 45 mins. Google this saga and you will find the original interview by Emily Maitlis with Prince Andrew and plenty of other fodder to “chew” on. Trust me.

For some,  who think  to sleep or rather romp and not sleep with a Prince would be a dream come true, this story might prove a tad frustrating.  His ex wife (The Duchess of York)  has already been hauled up by the press for capers with an American or two whilst Prince Andrew was sailing the seas and fighting wars which led to their divorce, so it’s a tad disappointing for Brits that Jeffrey Epstein – an American (allegedly now deceased by his own hand) has now been involved in the unravelling of Prince Andrew due to his association with him.

There’s too many questions not answered so will a sequel be in store?  There’s already another version of events leading up to the Prince’s interview with other actors and another crew, being made by Prime Video which apparently has the backing of Maitlis. However, Michael Sheen and Ruth Wilson will be playing the lead roles.

Epstein stayed in both Windsor Castle and Sandringham.  Prince Andrew became associated with him via Ghislaine Maxwell – daughter of now deceased newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell who had seven children with his wife – Maxwell was a Jewish refugee from Czechoslovakia,  his wife a catholic. He named one of his yachts Ghislaine after one of his daughters – it was the yacht  he apparently fell off when he avoided prosecution through his own demise after serious pension fraud of his Daily Mirror’s staff.

Jeffrey Epstein apparently died from self inflicted suicide in prison.  But his first term in prison did not stop Prince Andrew staying with him which Prince Andrew now realises was a mistake.  He stayed with him known by then as a convicted sex offender in 2010. Later Andrew told Epstein he could no longer stay in contact with him due to his criminal activities.

Andrew’s staff gave him advice not to stay friends,  and by this time or fairly soon afterwards, rumours started circulating that Andrew had had sex with an underage girl several times but this did not corroborate with evidence of Andrew.  On the date of 10^th March when she claimed they were together in England, Andrew claimed he was in Pizza Express Woking at a party for one of his daughters. Claims that Andrew sweated were denied as he said he had a condition where he does not sweat.  Rumours circulating around Tramp nightclub and his activities there involved Andrew saying that he does not drink and has no idea where the bars are in that  establishment – owned at one time by one of several husbands of Dame Joan Collins.

At the end of the interview with Emily Maitlis which took place in Buckingham Palace whilst her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 was still alive, Prince Andrew said, “You’ve probably dragged out what was required. I am truly grateful you discussed this with me”.  The inquisition seems to continue and has spawned very many films and You Tube posts together with some comedy interpretations  so go there to continue looking into this saga.  Running time of “Scoop” 1 hour 45 mins.
