Arnold Schwarzenegger

Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (76)  was ordered to pay a fine of €35, 000 after being detained at Munich Airport and quizzed under tax law over an unregistered Swiss luxury Audermars Piguet watch  which he planned to auction for  a climate charity being held in Kitzbuhel, Austria. His 49-year-old girl friend Heather Milligan and a friend both of whom had accompanied him on a flight from Los Angeles were not allowed to go to the bank with him as he was excited by an officer to withdraw the huge sum of money from a bank.

The customs officer Thomas Meister who said tax should have been paid on the watch because Schwarzenegger was intending to see tin the European Union, may have legally accurate but morally lacking.

The former Governor or California said  that the watch was meant to be auctioned off for charity “ this is the problem that Germany is suffering from. You can no longer see the forest for the trees”.
