On Monday night a volcano erupted following hundreds  of tremors in south-west Iceland that caused a 10-mile fissure in a road, triggering the country to a state of emergency. Lava is spewing from the volcano faster than rate of other eruptions as thousands of people have been evacuated. Eruption has started north of Grindavik by Hagafell according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The eruption occured about four kilometers 2.4 miles from the town of Grindavik on the Ryekjanes peninsula, and began at 10:17 GMT.
