England win by 6 wickets

Shai Hope’s 68 from 68 aided West Indies recovery from 23-4 to 152 before Liam Livingstone 3-39 and Rohan Ahmed  2-40 dismissed hosts for 202. In reply Jacks 73 led England’s fight back with Harry Brook 43 no and Jos Buttler 58 no ensure England’s win with 17 balls to spare.

England draw the series with third and deciding ODI will be played in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday.

England 206-9 off 40 ov  Livingstone 45 off 56, 2 fours, 2 sixes, Duckett 71 off 73, 6 fours, 1 six, Forde 3-29, Shepherd 2-50, Joseph 3-61.

West Indies win by 4 wickets (DLS Method)

West Indies powered to win the match and series by beating England by four wickets on the Duckworth-Lewis -Stern method in a rain-shortened third one-day International in Barbados. 

Play began two hours later than scheduled, seamer Mathew Ford took three quick wickets on his international debut as England collapsed to 49-5, and recovery aided by Ben Duckett who made 71  helped England to post 206-9 from 40 overs. Then came further delay and rain with West Indies getting a revised target of 188 from 34 overs, who appeared on course for a comfortable victory thanks to a composed half-century from React Carty.  But England hit back  to set up a much more tense finale with spinner Will Jacks taking 3-32. The game looked very close with one expensive over from Gus Atkinson swung the game away from England and decisively in West Indies’ favour , Romario Shepherd contributing an unbeaten 41 from 28 balls  despite rain  sealed the win for West Indies with 14-balls to spare.

West Indies took the ODI series 2-1 and can celebrate first home series victory over England in the format since 1998.
