Australia beat South Africa and are through to the World Cup final with a 3-wicket win.
South Africa were in trouble as Start and Hazlewood ran through the top order as Stars removed Temba Bavima in the first over Quinton de Kock became Hazelwood’s victim and at the end of power play South Africa a reduced to 18-2. Miller and Heinrich Klaasen contributed a 95-run stand to give South Africa slim hope. After Klaasen fell for 47 Miller reached his sixth one-day international century.
After bowling South Africa for 212, Pat Cummins’s side made a dream start with Travis Head hitting 62 before they were pegged back by Proteas spinner and slipped to 137-5. Cummins and Mitchell Stars kept their cool to see Australia through to finals.
Australia face India in the finals at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
