England’s 3-1 win over Australia in the semi-final ensured Wiegman is the first coach to take two countries to the final of the tournament, having led the Netherlands to the 2019 final. Wiegman also achieved back-to-back wins at the women’s Euros with the Netherlands in 2017 and England in 2022. Sarina Wiegman was ecstatic saying “ We achieved the final, it’s unbelievable”.

But in the second half, Keer burst into life pouncing on England’s lost possession and scoring a sublime long-range goal to equalise 1-1. Another goal arrived from Hemp who did not hesitate. Hemp linked with Russo to add England’s third, as Australia were totally disappointed. England supporters are now believing that this team could be champion again.
