Firefighters are battling a pipeline explosion which caused pillar of fire in La Porte, near Houston, Texas. The blaze shooting a pillar of fire tens of feet into the sky, igniting adjacent park and power poles. Residents have been urged to evacuate, according to city spokesperson Lee Woodward.

The cause of fire remains under investigation. Authorities have said no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.
