
300 people killed and over 200 are still feared trapped after heavy rains triggered massive landslides in Wayanad district, the southern Indian state of Kerala. The landslides struck in the early hours of Tuesday while most residents were asleep. Rescue operations are underway although hindered by heavy rain and the collapse of crucial bridge.
