Trip Advisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform have been helping people navigate the  best hotel  from Scotland to Cornwall and location, location, is not necessarily the mantra for the best Hotel as a dull London Hotel has been voted the “best Hotel in Britain” without a restaurant, gym, or spa. Hotel preference is a matter of personal taste if Resident, Covent Garden, is the UK’s Best Hotel, Toulson Court in Scarborough is the UK’s best B&B, Brazil’s French-inspired Hotel Collins de France in Gramdao the best hotel in the world according to winners of Trip Advisor’s Annual Traveller’s Choice.

The Resident Covent Garden, a predominantly grey lobby, grey corridors, grey-walled compact bedroom with even grey curtains, the hard-to-spot entrance sandwiched between a food and tobacco kiosk and a branch of Greggs at the corner of the Strand and Bedford Street, which leads to Covent Garden, a great base for a central hotel, is UK’s Best Hotel. This 57 bedrooms hotel is with out any restaurant, no lounge, with each guest rooms with integrated mini-kitchen including microwave, sink with Brita filter tap, kettle, Nespresso machine, smart grey marble-tiled bathroom, pocket sprung bed, linens, smart TV and circular dining/ work table but with a high standard of cleanliness and above all impressive staff. Resident, tend to attract more reviews and also receiving an appreciative reply from the hotel, and score more highly in listing on Tripadvisor.and its algorithms more than others.

The Front of House team who emit warmness and a genuine desire to help to the highest degree. David Orr, CEO, Patricia Segurola, the general manager, and of course Segurola ( formerly a concierge in Ritz) who hosts complimentary drinks in the lobby where guests can meet and chat, runs a tight ship. Most guests are tourists, many from the US, but the team of 13  does its best to help them feel at home, during their stay and to make up from the hotel having no restaurant of its own.
