Disney’s $8.5bn deal to merge India business with Reliance Industries

Disney will trim financial exposure in its loss making venture in one of the world’s most populated countries on the Indian subcontinent by striking a $8.5bn deal to merge its India business with Reliance Industries. Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance, the Indian conglomerate will invest $1.4bn and take a 63 per cent stake in the new company while Disney  will hold  37 per cent. Unmanned runaway trains speeds past five stations

A Freight train without a drive on board was speeding over 43.4 miles (70km) through a station in Northern India. Indian Railways has ordered an investigation after the unmanned train which was on its way to Punjab from Jammu, was moving down a sloping track after the driver and assistant got off for a crew change. The 53-wagon train, carrying stone chips, gained speed of nearly 62mph (100km/h) and managed to cross about five stations before it was brought to a halt. German Chancellor Oalf Scholz’s flagship social reforms is realized. Germany legislated the consumption and possession of cannabis by allowing adults to publicly use upto 25 grammes of marijuana from April 1, and this is no April fool joke either.
