177 killed as Boeing 737-800 crashed in South Korea

A plane carrying 181 passengers from Bangkok in Thailand, has crashed at Muan International Airport in south west South Korea, killing 177 people, according to their fire service. The aircraft came off the runway and crashed into a wall as the landing gear malfunctioned, an official said. Only one passenger and a flight attendant were rescued alive from the crash site. Chess Maverick quit world chess championship after wearing jeans

Norwegian, Mark Carlsen , World chess number one defending his titles at Fife World Rapid  and Blitz Chess Championships in New York has quit a major tournament after being told he could not carry on playing while wearing jeans. Palantir and Anduril to form a consortium

Two of the largest US defence technology companies, Palantir, specialises AI-enabled vantage platforms and Anduril  who specialises in autonomous systems, is to form a consortium that will jointly bid for US government work worth over £850bn defence budget in an effort to disrupt the country’s oligopoly of “prime contractors”, supplying the US government with cutting-edge defence and weapons capabilities.
